My sweet Anna and I have been friends for 51 years. I met her when she was at my Uncle Rusty and Aunt Candy's wedding . I think one of her sisters was a bridesmaid. We didn't click very well at first. She told me I was very hard to like and I old her I didn't like her anyway. We kept bumping into each other at Candy and Rusty's. I stayed with them a lot.. I was kind of a messed up kid. My Dad was in the military so we moved a lot. Over the years we started writing and calling each other. When I was at Candy and Rusty's we all use to play pool in Candy's Mom's basement. That's how I met Jerry. I saw Anna for the last time when I moved to Germany. I was 18 years old and 4 months pregnant with my oldest son. That was in Jan. 1971. We continued to call and talk to each other over the years but we never saw each other again. It had been so long that we thought we might find that we didn't really like each other any more. Neither of us wanted that to happen. A couple of years ago, I noticed Anna just signed her Christmas cards with her name and nothing more. Then I quit hearing from her on facebook and snail mail and she wasn't calling any more. I finally talked to Jerry and he told me she wasn't doing real well. I asked him to please call me if anything happened to her. I got the call today. I wanted to call her so many times but I didn't. I am so angry with myself now. So now I say good-bye now to an angel that once was Anna. I am going to miss her more than life itself. Sleep well sweet Anna. Much love, your L'il Sis.
