Anthony Joseph Santavy's Obituary
Anthony Joseph Santavy age 91 of Clay Twp., MI. died October 13, 2020 in his home. He was born March 1, 1929 in Detroit, MI. to the late Anthony and Anna (Konecny) Santavy. He married Patricia Kocis on April 30, 1955, Blenheim, Ontario, Canada.
Tony was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He retired from Wilson Automation as a tool and die maker in 1995. He owned and operated Tony's Marine Repair in St. Clair for many years. He was a member of the United States Power Squadron, United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, the North Channel Yacht Club, and the Grayling Moose Lodge. He loved boating, hunting, snowmobiling, and ATV riding.
Mr. Santavy is survived by his wife Patricia, children Deborah L. Santavy, Sandra (James) Angers, Tammy (Scott) Brandt, and Mark (Michelle) Santavy, grandchildren Lee Angers, Jacob Angers, Whitney Angers, Tayler Brandt, Carly Brandt, Riley Brandt, Brent Santavy, Cori Snyder, and Meredith Snyder, and his canine companion "Gus"?. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law Gerald and Mary Santavy.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Friday October 16, 2020 in the Fraternal Order of Eagles Hall 7542 Palms Rd, Ira Twp., MI 48023. Arrangements by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, MI.
