Barbara Ellen Rivard's Obituary
Barbara Ellen Rivard of Algonac passed away on March 21, 2026, at the age of 85. She was born in Detroit on April 5, 1940, to the late Willard and Rose Sarrach.
Barbara was the life of the party and took pride in being the first to arrive and the last to leave. Her feisty personality was unforgettable. We will treasure the memories we shared, the laughter she brought in our lives, and the strength she showed every day. She will be deeply missed. She also had a special love for cars, especially heavy Chevys and Corvettes.
Barbara is survived by her children, Stella (Clint) Sanders and Patricia Rivard; her grandchildren, Danielle(Bob) Jacobs, Lynnette(Clayton)Byerly, John Jr., Scotty, Ryan, Stuart, Sterling, Tess, and Tara; her great-grandchildren, Owen, Reid, Philip, Stella, Harsen, Sawyer, and Logan; and her siblings, Mary Lou, William, and Joseph.
She was preceded in death by her children, Gert (John) Falkiewicz, Anthony Rivard, and Kimberly Kapuran; her siblings, Jerome, Paul, and Patricia; and her parents, Willard and Rose Sarrach.
If Barbara were here, she’d probably flash that smile, crack a joke, and say, “How do you like me now?”
