Betty Jean Beattie's Obituary
Betty Jean Beattie age 89 of Clay Twp., MI passed away January 2, 2026 in her home. She was born the youngest of 14 children on January 9, 1936 in Port Huron, MI to the late Andrew and Clementine (Veger) Sharrow. She married Richard Dean Beattie on May 31, 1957 in Angola, IN. He passed away December 7, 2021.
Betty was the last survivor of her 13 siblings. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and needle point. She also liked doing word searches, paint by stickers, and she loved watching nightly movies on the tv while enjoying her bowl of ice cream.
Mrs. Beattie is survived by children Terry (Ray) Allor, Paula Lamons, and Robin (Mike) Worden, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her 13 siblings, Betty was preceded in death by 2 of her children Richard “Wade” Beattie and Loretta Cofer.
Private family services have been held. Arrangements by the Young Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Algonac, MI.
