Carlene Carmela Nowlin's Obituary
Carlene Carmela Nowlin age 77 of Fair Haven, MI. passed away August 14, 2021 in her home. She was born December 19, 1943 in Manhattan, NY. to the late Angelo and Nona (Beach) Mantini. She married James W. Nowlin on October 31, 1964 in Anchorville, MI. He passed away January 26, 2015.
Carlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, and aunt. She loved to laugh and joke around. One of her favorite past-times was playing euchre, whenever she played, she always had a big smile on her face whether winning or losing. Carlene was very giving and would help anyone that she could, even if it meant the shirt off of her back.
Mrs. Nowlin is survived by her children Elizabeth (Gary) Stuifbergen and James A. Nowlin, grandchildren Adam Reichhold, and Hannah Reichhold, her sister Toni (Rick) Irwin, a sister-in-law Julie Mantini-Ullrich, a nephew Michael (Joan) Mantini, nieces Kari (Kevin) Scott, Becky Hurlburt and Lori Pruitt, great nieces Mia, Chelsea and Samantha, and her great nephews Colin, Lucas and Caden. She was preceded in death by a brother Angelo Mantini.
A celebration of life will be held Friday September 17, 2021 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM at On the Rocks Bar and Grille 7479 Dyke Rd. Clay Twp., MI. 48001. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer's Research Association or to Michigan Victims of Domestic Violence. Arrangements by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, MI.
