Cynthia Diane Redmann's Obituary
Cynthia Diane Redmann, age 68 passed away peacefully at her home on June 6,2026. She was surrounded by the love of her family. Her strength, determination, and unwavering devotion to those she loved remained evident throughout her life and until her final moments.
Cynthia was born on April 29, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan to late Orville and Gertrude Besaw. She was a graduate of Algonac High School, class of 1976. She resided in Algonac where she built a life centered on family and hard work. She was known for her exceptional skills with finance and worked as a tax professional for many years. She was a woman who believed in doing things the “right” way. Very strong-willed, determined and dependable, she was often the guiding force for those around her.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter; Michell (Jacob) Woodward, and Stefanie Walker, her son Joel Redmann, and her cherished grandchildren (Ivan, Christopher, Ian, Kimberly, Allyie), her sister Gloria (Robert) Riddle, and her brothers, Gregory Besaw, and Rick Besaw.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her brother Larry Besaw, and sister Kathy Burroughs.
Those who knew her will miss her outspokenness, fighting spirit, and love she provided to her family and friends. Cynthia’s legacy of strength, perseverance, and determination will continue to live on through the family and lives she has touched.
Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11 at Our Lady on the River Parish, St. Catherine Catholic Church, Algonac. Interment to follow at St. Catherine Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Young-Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac and at church from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning prior to mass.
