Deana Marie Gieraga's Obituary
Deana Marie Gieraga age 69 of Algonac, MI passed away December 24, 2024 in her home. She was born June 18, 1955 in Detroit, MI to the late Richard S. and Mamie (Laskolin) Szymborski. She married Roman Vitold Gieraga April 4, 1975 in Detroit, MI. He passed away April 29, 1998.
Deana graduated from Hamtramck High School in 1973. She retired from the Grosse Pte. Post Office in 2002 after 20 years of services. She was a former member of the New Baltimore Lions Club. Deana loved playing Bingo, flea markets, traveling, and crafting. Her family was always her top priority.
Mrs. Gieraga is survived by her children Roman Michael (Janet) Gieraga, Kristopher (Jamie) Gieraga, and Victoria Gieraga, grandchildren Chloe, Roman, Caiden, Dominik, Gabriel, and Alexander, brother Gary Szymborski, and nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with a Memorial Tribute at 2:30 PM, Sunday January 26, 2025 at the Lempke-Blackwell VFW Post 7573, 35011 23 Mile Rd. New Baltimore, MI. 48047. Arrangements by Young Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Algonac, MI.
