Denise M. Kozlowski's Obituary
Denise M. Kozlowski, age 83, of Clay Twp., passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025. She was born in Munising, MI on May 18, 1942 to the late Lawrence and Marie Duffany. Denise married Kenneth Kozlowski on April 27, 1963 who preceded her in death on March 25, 2008. She worked as an aide in various departments for Fitzgerald schools for several years. Denise was a longtime member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Algonac. She belonged to the St. Catherine’s Ladies Guild for many of those years. In her spare time, Denise spent many hours completing crossword puzzles or cross stitching. She enjoyed making Christmas tree skirts for her family. She and her best friend Anna Mae, took part in numerous unique excursions together. Denise cherished that time she spent with her dear friend, as well as her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Terri Lindemann, Patrick (Karen) Kozlowski, Joe (Brenda) Kozlowski; grandchildren, Katy, Ashley (Sal), Jeffrey, Andrew, Alyssa, Justin; great granddaughter, Juliana; and brother, Larry (Renae) Duffany.
A funeral Mass will be on Saturday, September 13th at 12:00 p.m. at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Algonac. Visiting hours will be on Friday, September 12th at Young-Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a rosary concluding the night at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at church prior to mass.
