Douglas Alan Fergusson's Obituary
Douglas Alan Fergusson age 70 of Ira Township, Michigan passed away at his home on October 25, 2022. He was born September 14, 1952 in Detroit, MI.
Doug attended Denby Technical Prep High school in Detroit Michigan, as well as Macomb Community college and St. Clair Community College. He is a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in England, North Carolina and in Mt Clemens. Following his time in the Air Force, Doug worked for many years as a certified mechanic working in aviation and the transportation fields. He continued his passion for cars in his personal life, bringing antique and older model vehicles back to life, and volunteering at the Stahl's Auto Museum. Additionally, he loved most forms of auto racing "? including stock car racing in his younger years. For many years, Doug has been a member of the St Peter Lutheran Church in Ira Mi.
Doug is survived by his sister Heather (Warren) Hill of Virginia, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Jack and Gena Fergusson, and two brothers - John and Bruce Fergusson.
In honor of is service to the country, Douglas will be interred at the Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will be having a private gathering to celebrate Doug's life. Memorial donations may be made to the veteran's organization of your choosing.
