Douglas J. "Doug" Bloom's Obituary
Douglas J. “Doug” Bloom, age 67, of Algonac, passed away February 2, 2026 with his wife, daughters and sons in-law by his side.
He was born August 7,1958 in Hamtramck to the late Jerome and Martha Bloom.
He married Jenny Boucher on December 31, 1982 in Sterling Heights.
Doug worked as an injection mold maker for over 45 years and retired in 2019.
He loved to go camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, bike riding and going for walks. He simply loved being outdoors. Doug and Jenny enjoyed their road trips with their girls and traveling together. He also enjoyed manning the grill with grilled roast as his specialty.
Doug cherished his time with his family and friends. He loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years; Jenny Bloom, his five daughters; Christina Gmeinder, Rebecca (Nick) Lollie, Jessica (Todd) Faulman, Beth Ann (Aaron) Laurencelle and Trisha (Aaron) Ehrmann.
He is also survived by his 17 beloved grandchildren, 1 brother, 5 sisters, many nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends, along with his best buddy; Don Hofman.
