Douglas Sinclair Twells' Obituary
Douglas S. Twells age 94 of Clay Twp., MI. passed away July 26, 2018. He was born June 6, 1924 to the late Robert G. and Margaret J. (nee MacKillop) Twells. He married Loa Iyadell Knepper and later married Agnas "Nancy" McBurnie.
Douglas served with the U. S. Navy during WW II as a PB2Y Pilot in the Pacific Theater. Cpt. Twells was a life member of the Algonac VFW Post #3901. He retired from Holly Carburetor in 1986.
Mr. Twells is survived by his children Douglas "Sonny" Twells Jr. of St. Louis, MO, Elizabeth Ebert of Findley, OH., Leslie Twells of Algonac, MI., and Margaret Forsberg of Las Vegas, NV., a brother Richard Twells of Mexico, MO., 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives Iyadell and Nancy, and a son Bruce S. Twells.
A private memorial service will be held Fostoria, OH. Arrangements by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, MI.
