Earl William VanAlstine Sr.'s Obituary
Earl “Pete” William VanAlstine Sr. age 75 of Cottrellville Twp., MI passed away November 2, 2025 in his home. He was born March 13, 1950 in Algonac, MI to the late Henry and Eunice (Sharrow) VanAlstine. He married Shirley M. Sampier on August 21, 1976 in Algonac. She passed away September 23, 2015.
Pete was a diesel mechanic for Waste Management Inc. having retired in 2016 after 19 years of service.
Mr. VanAlstine is survived by his children Earl (Amy) VanAlstine, Russell VanAlstine, Norma (Joe) Farnsworth, Bobbie (Scott Houseman) Brody, and Eunice Tovey, and a sister Ethel Crouse, 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a great grandson Mateo Razzo, sisters Sara VanAlstine-Nector, Rose “Buddy” Monville, and Gladys Jean VanAlstine, and a son-in-law Robert Tovey.
A celebration of life will be held from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday December 23, 2025 at the Pearl Beach Lions Hall, 9590 Phelps Road, Clay Twp., MI 48001. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Young Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Algonac.
