Eleanor Bernarda Pilawski's Obituary
Eleanor Bernarda Pilawski age 101 of Algonac, MI passed away January 29, 2026 in her home. She was born July 30, 1924 in Detroit, MI to the late John and Anna (nee Stachelski) Wygnalski. She married Thadeusz “Ted” Pilawski on May 7, 1949 in Detroit, MI. He passed away May 15, 2009.
Mrs. Pilawski was a member of the St. Catherines Catholic Church Choir and the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed cooking, roller skating, and making floral arrangements.
Mrs. Pilawski is survived by her children Gary (Susan) Pilawski, Judi (Mark) Martin, Darcy (Gordy) Elwart, and Robert Pilawski, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
Mrs. Pilawski will be instate at 10:30 AM with mass at 11:00 AM Thursday February 5, 2026 in the Our Lady on the River St. Catherines Catholic Church, Algonac, MI. Visitation 2-6 PM Wednesday in the Young Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Algonac. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 3:00 PM Wednesday.
Burial will be in the St. Catherines Cemetery, Algonac, MI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. https://www.stjude.org.
