Eric's Obituary
Eric Vistisen age 92 of Clay Twp., MI passed away February 17, 2023, in his home. He was born November 13, 1930, in Ferndale, MI. to the late Troels and Maren (nee Nielsen) Vistisen. He married Carol Ann Scholz on March 17, 1952, in St. Clair Shores, MI.
Eric served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War, 1951 -1953, having served in Germany. He was a self-employed landscaper, nurseryman, and farmer. He owned and operated the Vistisen Sod Farm in Clay Twp., from 1962 to 1992.
Eric is survived by his wife Carol Ann, sons Scott (Ginny) Vistisen, Keith (Chanda Ladd) Vistisen, and Corey (Kerry) Vistisen, grandchildren Kevin (Shannon) Vistisen, Drew (Amy) Vistisen, and Stephen Ladd, great grandchildren Katie, Luke, Gunner, and Lena.
Funeral services 11:00 AM Thursday, February 23, 2023, in the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, MI. Visitation Wednesday February 22, 2023, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Clay Twp., MI.
