Frances Marie Baker's Obituary
Frances Marie Baker age 91, formerly of Ira Twp., MI passed away June 8, 2026 in her daughter’s home in Clay Twp., MI. She was born December 28, 1934 in Warren, MI to the late Virgil A. and Mabel L. (Smith) Ritchie. She married Howard Eugene Baker on June 9, 1952 in Auburn, IN. He passed away July 16, 2023.
Frances enjoyed making quilts for all of her family members, home made gifts at Christmas time, camping, and along with her husband, morel mushroom hunting.
Mrs. Baker is survived by children Donna Baker, Howard (Rita) Baker Jr., Louella Patterson, Rich (Carrie) Baker, and Deb (Philip) LaLonde, 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.
Funeral service 6:00 PM, with visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Friday June 12, 2026 in the Young Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Algonac, MI.
Internment will be with her husband in the Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI.
