Francis Paul Gianascol's Obituary
Francis Paul Gianascol age 96 of Clay Twp., MI. passed away July 15, 2018 after a short illness, in the Ascension River District Hospital. He was born April 26, 1922 in Lynn, MA. to the late Frank and Margaret (nee Desmond) Gianascol. He married Barbara M. Kelley on June 21, 1941 in Seabrook, NH. she passed away May 22, 2011.
Frank served with the U.S. Army during WW II in the European Theater. He retired from General Electric after 40 years as a tool and die maker. He loved water sports and building his own boats.
Mr. Gianascol is survived by his daughters Sue Ann Hartigan and Carol (Donald) Fiorani, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Paul Gianascol, and siblings Norma Whelan and Roy Gianascol.
Military Funeral Honors will be presented at 11:00 AM Friday July 20, 2018 in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Algonac. Visitation 10:00 "? 11:00 AM Friday in the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, or to the Algonac V.F.W. post #3901.
