Growing up in north Algonac, I lived not far from the Baxter’s. Skip and Sue were wonderful people. They made the kids in the neighborhood feel welcome in their home. Skip and Sue could not have been nicer. Though I was a few years older than Mike, he and I were good friends. North Algonac in the 1960s- halcyon days! Skip Baxter- a life well lived. A family man. Skip was the nicest, kindest neighbor for the past 29 years we have lived here. We enjoyed many “happy hours” and dinners together. A real gentleman and friend. We miss him already. Our condolences to all of you, his family. Your devotion to him and your mom was exemplary. Kitty and Jim
