Gail Ann Jones-Stephenson's Obituary
Gail Ann Jones-Stephenson age 70 of Alger, MI and formerly of Algonac, MI passed away July 29, 2024 in her home. She was born June 1, 1954 in Wyandotte, MI, to the late Raymond E. and Gloria (Killingback) Jones. She married Thomas H. Stephenson on February 25, 1989 in Wyandotte.
Gail graduated from Algonac High School in 1972, she received her Mortuary Science Degree from Wayne State University, and received her Masters Degree in Special Education from Saginaw Valley State University.
Gail is survived by her husband Tom, sisters Denise (Dennis) Krol and Sheila (Thomas) Durkee, sister-in- laws Mary Ann, Denise, and Annette, brother-in-law Mark, nephews Ryan (Alicia) Schroerlucke, Christopher (Laura) Durkee, and Daniel Durkee, nieces Julie (Nathan) West, Amy Krol, and Heather (Terry) Kaczmarek, great nephews and nieces David Durkee, Dylan Kaczmarek, Noah West, Caleb Schroerlucke, Benjamin West, Kaden Kaczmarek, Cora Schroerlucke, Lena West, Taryn Durkee, Cambrie Schroerlucke, Colton Durkee, and Calina Schroerlucke, She was preceded in death by her sister Karen Jones-Berg, nephew Paul Raymond Krol, niece Jenna Rae Schroerlucke, sister-in-law Lori Stephenson, and brother-in-law Geary Stephenson.
Mrs. Jones-Stephenson will be instate at 10:00 AM, with mass at 11:00 AM Friday August 2, 2024 in Our Lady on the River Parish, St. Catherines Catholic Church, Algonac. Visitation 2:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday in the Young Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. Algonac.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations, are suggested to the Children’s Hospital of Michigan, 3901 Beaubien, Detroit, MI. 48201.
