Gene C. Martin's Obituary
Gene Cecil Martin age 97 of Algonac, MI. died July 19, 2017 in the Medilodge of St. Clair. He was born September 7, 1919 in Gates, WV. He married Caroline Katherine Lloyd on September 10, 1944 in Hollywood, CA., she died July 16, 2016.
Gene was a WWII U.S. Marine Corp Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient.
Mr. Martin is survived by his sons Norman (Mary Ellen) Martin, Karl Martin, and Kim Martin, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Deborah Champine, and siblings Ted, Harry, Jack, Vera, Lena, and Mina June.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday August 1, 2017 in the Trinity United Methodist Church, 424 Smith Street
Algonac, Michigan 48001. Memorial donations may be made to the Family Wishes. Arrangements by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac.
