George Elrod's Obituary
George "Gene" Elrod age 87 of Algonac, MI. died January 30, 2017 at Regency on the Lake. He was born February 21, 1929 in Paducah, KY. He married Virginia May Polly on March 28, 1970 in Algonac. She passed on May May 10, 2009. He is now reunited with the love of his life and his beloved saviour.
Gene was a life member of the Knights of Columbus and a former member of the Pearl Beach Lions Club. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a true Christian missionary having attended many different churches spreading the word. "Just remember one thing..."?
Mr. Elrod is survived by his children John (Jackie) Polly, Carol Polly, Jess (Trina) Polly, Joseph (Denise) Polly, Cheri (Lynn) Duncan, and Jody (Tina) Elrod, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his children Michael Elrod, James Polly, Cheryl Polly, George Elrod, and Jerry Polly.
