George Russell LaParl's Obituary
George Russell LaParl age 75 of Algonac, MI. passed away September 6, 2019 in his home. He was born June 8, 1944 in St. Clair, MI. to the late Irvin and Mary (nee Davis) LaParl. He married Nancy L. Currier on June 14, 1968 in Algonac.
George was a 1963 Algonac High School graduate and was a two-time Algonac High School Hall of Fame honoree, he served with the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War era, was a Past President of the Pearl Beach Lions, and was a member of the Algonac Clay Historical Society. He loved spending his retirement years wintering in Alabama and Florida. He enjoyed traveling, boating, golfing, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.
Mr. LaParl is survived by his wife of 51 years Nancy, a sister Ilene LaParl, a brother Raymond (Leslie) Laparl, and several nieces and nephews.
In staying with George's wishes there will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to the Algonac Clay Historical Society, P.O. Box 228 Algonac, MI. 48001 or to the donor's choice. Arrangements by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac.
