Helen Cole-Morrow
Age 95 of Algonac, MI. died February 22, 2013 in her home. She was born April 3, 1917 in Benton Harbor, MI. to John and Cora McDorman. She first married Herman "Jake" Cole in 1938, and together they were charter members of the Al-gon-a-camping camping Club, he died in 1974. Helen then married Winslow C. Morrow in 1975 he died in 1994.
Helen graduated from St. Camillus School of Nursing, Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo, MI. She was a school nurse in the Algonac Community School system for 33 years, retiring January 1, 1977.
Mrs. Morrow is survived by her daughter Muriel Bragdon and a step-son Winslow Robert (Kay) Morrow, 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by a son George Cole in 1988, and 3 sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday February 25, 2013 in the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac. Visitation 1-4 & 6-9 PM Sunday. Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery, Cottrellville Twp., MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Algonac-Clay Historical Society or to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Algonac.
