Herman Earl Montville Jr.'s Obituary
Herman E. Montville Jr. age 74 of Clay Twp., MI. passed away unexpectedly, November 20, 2021 in the Ascension St. John\'s Hospital Detroit. He was born January 17, 1947 in Detroit, MI. to the late Herman E. and Justina (nee Wafyliw) Montville Sr. He married Janice (nee Moss) Bitten on June 25, 2016
Herman was a US Army Veteran, joining the service right out of high School, and spending a large portion of his tour in Germany. He was a police officer for the Clay Twp. police department having retired after 20 years of service. Herm was a one of a kind. He loved his wife unconditionally and was a very generous man, loved by many.
Mr. Montville is survived by his wife Jan, stepson Kevin (Margy Christy) Dunn, brother Dennis Montville, step-grandson Jeff Fetterly, and a great granddaughter Kayli Fetterly. He was preceded in death by his first wife Laura (nee Jaekel) Montville June 27, 2010, a daughter Dawn Montville, and a step-daughter Chrystal Ferris.
In staying with Herman's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Saturday November 27, 2021 in the Fraternal Order of Eagles Hall 7542 Palms Rd. Fair Haven, MI. 48023. Arrangements by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, MI.
