Howard E. Baker's Obituary
Howard E. Baker Sr. age 96, of Ira, Twp., MI passed away July 16, 2023 in the McLaren Macomb Hospital. He was born December 31, 1926 in Paw Paw, MI to the late William and Nora (Barringer) Baker. He married Frances Marie Ritchie June 9, 1952, in Auburn, IN.
Howard served for 3 years in the US Navy and 4 years in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a Life Member of the Richmond Sportsman’s Club. He retired from the Island Harbor Marina in St Clair Shores, MI after retiring he became a self-employed outboard motor and small engine repairman.
Mr. Baker is survived by his wife Frances, children Donna Baker, Howard (Rita) Baker Jr. Louella Patterson, Rich (Carrie) Baker, and Deb (Philip) LaLonde, sisters Aline Bryon, Marian Norman, and Alice Bleeker, 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services 3:00 PM Friday July 21, 2023 in the Young-Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Algonac, MI. Visitation Friday 1:00 PM until time of services.
