James Edward Hansen's Obituary
James Edward Hansen, age 76, of Harsens Island, passed away September 2, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 25, 1948 in Rochester, New York to the late Edward and Eleanor Hansen.
He married Linda Bayly on July 7, 2007.
He attended the University of Pittsburgh where he earned his Bachelor Degree in mechanical engineering. He went on to work for Ford Motor Company and retired after working there for 42 years.
Jim had a passion for duck hunting, fishing and having his wife by his side.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years; Linda Hansen, his children; James (Missa) Hansen, Susann Hansen, Orianne (Mike) Myres, and Owen Mawhirter.
He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren; Ethan, Cody, Peyton, Michael, Matthew, Calista, and Cylis, his brother; Richard (Dara) Hansen and his first wife, Carol.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13 at Young-Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Algonac. Visiting hours will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service. To leave the family a message of comfort please visit: www.younggilbertfuneralhome.com
