James Edward Miller Jr.'s Obituary
James Edward Miller Jr. age 65 of China Twp., MI. passed away May 6, 2023 in the Ascension River District Hospital. He was born January 15, 1958 in Mt Clemens, MI to the late James Sr. and Deanna (nee Schram) Miller. He married DeAnn Louise Dryer on September 23, 1978 in Algonac, MI.
Jim was a 1976 graduate of Marine City High School. He was a custodian in the Algonac School System for 18 years and head custodian with the Chippewa Valley School System for 20 Years. Jim enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, coaching and watching Little League baseball and coaching and mentoring high school football players, including his son. He enjoyed all types of music and watching his granddaughter Juliet performing in her many activities.
Jim is survived by his wife DeAnn, children Keith (Tracie) Miller and Melissa (Michael) Miller-MacLean, grandchildren Juliet Sikula, Jaidyn Butler, and Tyler Butler, siblings Timothy Miller, Dan Miller, and Katherine (Matthew) DeLacy, nieces Stephanie Miller, Amanda (James) Morgan, and Rachel DeLacy, a nephew Michael DeLacy, and his canine companions Penny, Bella, Rocky, Jackson, and River.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Young-Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. Algonac.
