James Edward Zawada age 59 of Harsens Island, MI. passed away September 19, 2020 in his home. He was born June 13, 1961 in Detroit, MI. to the late Stanley and Ella (Owens) Zawada. He married Gail Ann Smith on June 30, 1990 in Marine City, MI.
Jim was a deckhand on the Champion\'s Auto Ferry between Harsens Island and the Clay Twp. MI. mainland.
Mr. Zawada is survived by his wife Gail, a brother Dave (Kate) Zawada and a sister Karen (Fred) Kowalke, nephews Dave Zawada and Fred Kowalke, and nieces Melissa Zawada and Sara Kowalke.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, MI.
