Joseph Anthony Campis' Obituary
Joseph Anthony Campis age 86 of Algonac, MI passed away July 28, 2026 in the Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. He was born July 27, 1940 in Detroit, MI to the late John and Mary (Tombrella) Campis. He married Sharon Marie Burguron on September 30, 1967 in Detroit.
Joseph retired from Chrysler Corp in 1996 after 30 years of service. He loved spending time with his grand and great grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling and doing crossword puzzles. He loved going out and socializing with anyone and everyone-he was a real people person.
Mr. Campis is survived by his wife Sharon, children Stacy Rappa, Annette (Gawain) Torres, David (Cheri) Campis, and Darrin Campis, grandchildren Michael Still, Zachary Still. Gawain (Meaghan) Torres, Sara (Edward Zakalowsk) Rappa, Sheanne (David) Valdez, David Campis Jr., Natalie Campis, Andrew Campis, Ashley Garlic, Jacob Campis, Tyler Peters, Catterina Campis, great grandchildren Frank Zakalowski, Lane Zakalowski, Anthony Torres, Jude Torres, Raylynn Valdez, Kenna Valdez, Braden Garlic, Addie Garlic, Quinton Garlic, and Martin Peters, bothers Louis (Diane) Campis, and Charles, Campis, and serval nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was proceeded in death by son Anthony Joseph Campis, grandson Luke Rappa, siblings Sam and Mary Campis, Rosemary Campis, and John Campis, and a son-in-law Gregory Rappa.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements entrusted to the Young Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Algonac, MI.
