Joseph Edwin Viney's Obituary
Joseph Edwin Viney age 80 of Algonac, MI passed away January 14, 2023. He was born March 17, 1942, in Haskell, TX to the late Claude Marlin and Willie John (nee Fields) Viney. He married Connie Sue Kennedy on March 2, 1961, in Lubbock, TX she passed away December 13, 2018.
Joe was a member of the Grayling Sportsman's Club, Perch Point Conservation Club, and Local 636 of the Pipe Fitters Union. He loved fishing, fly-fishing, hunting, trap shooting, tying flies, watching old westerns, gardening, canning, and making the world's best peanut brittle and pecan pie.
Mr. Viney is survived by his children Christopher L. (Mary M.) Viney, Douglas Craig (Tara) Viney, and Jennifer J. (the late Steven) Maladecki, grandchildren Tyler (Leann) Viney, Olivia Viney, Mikayla (Tyler) Black, Corri (Stephen) Brandenburg, Alexsandra Viney, and Thomas Maladecki, great grandchildren Hank Viney, Benjamin Brandenburg, and Brianna Brandenburg, sibling Charles (Betty) Viney, and Diana (David) King. He was preceded in death by a brother Steven Viney.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, MI.
