Joyce Ann Kicknosway's Obituary
Joyce Ann Kicknosway, age 66, of Clay Twp., MI. passed away February 22, 2023 in the McLaren Macomb Hospital. She was born November 15, 1956 in Mt. Clemens, MI. to the late Joseph and Margaret (nee Chippewa) Kicknosway.
Joyce was very family oriented. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, play cards, and board games. She had a funny sense of humor, and enjoyed helping others whenever she could. In 1974, she was the 1st Native American appointed to the Algonac Pickerel Queens Court.
Joyce is survived by her children Shaye Moehlman and Cody Moehlman, granddaughters Madison Moehlman and Lydia Stewart, siblings Ruth Turner, Mark Kicknosway, Brenda Phillips, Donna King, and Sandra Payne. She was also survived by niece and caregiver Tracy Wrightman, and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a daughter Corey, granddaughter Lily, siblings Keith, Cathy, Noel, Chief, don, Joan and Carol, a nephew Jacob and nieces Lisa, Journi, and Megan.
A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 PM Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the Pearl Beach Lions Club, 9590 Phelps Rd. Clay Twp., MI 48001. Arrangements by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, MI.
