Julio Henry Moscone's Obituary
Julio “Shorty” Moscone age 96 of Clay Twp, MI passed away December 3, 2024. He was born April 15, 1928 in Detroit, MI to the late Enrico H. and Josephine A. (DuBay) Moscone. He married Mary Ellen Grobbel on August 24, 1949 in Centerline, MI.
Shorty was a WW II Veteran having served with the U.S. Coast Guard. He retired, after 30 years of service, from the City of Utica, as superintendent of public works. He was an avid fisherman, built and flew his own airplane at the age of 70.
Julio is survived by his wife of 75 years Mary Ellen, children James (Jerry Rae) Moscone, Gary (Julie) Moscone, Frank (Patricia) Moscone, Edward Moscone, and Mary (James) Eddy. He was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Mr. Moscone will be instate at 10:30 AM with mass at 11:00 AM, Saturday December 7, 2024 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 9764 Dixie Hwy. Anchorville, MI 4023. Visitation 4:00 to 8:00 Friday PM in the Young Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. Algonac, MI.
Memorial donations may be made to the donor’s choice in Mr. Moscone’s name.
