Kathleen (Kathie) Margaret Streit's Obituary
Kathleen (Kathie) Margaret Streit, born to Ruth and Robert Dickerson on March 30th, 1963, in Ferndale, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025, with her two children by her side.
Kathie was the loving mother to Britany (Dan) Levin and Nick (Sarah) DePorre, and a proud grandmother to four grandchildren: Jackson, Hayden, Lincoln, and Rory. Kathie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fritz Streit, the love of her life. The memories they created together remained a constant source of comfort and strength for her throughout the rest of her life.
Kathie's love for animals, particularly dogs, was well-known to all who knew her. She had a special bond with her dogs, and they were an important part of her family. She found great joy in their companionship and took pleasure in sharing her life with them.
A celebration of life will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a memorial service at 1:00 PM, Saturday April 5, 2025 in the Young Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Algonac, MI.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Michigan Humane Society (https://www.michiganhumane.org), reflecting her love for dogs and her desire to help animals in need.
