This beautiful young woman was such a bright ray of sunshine in this sometimes dismal world. Even through the darkest of her days, she would find hope, joy, faith and gratitude. She was beyond special - not just to her family, but to friends, co-workers, medical staff, etc. We will all miss her more than words will ever express, but she will live on in our hearts. We will always grieve for the days she never got to experience, and we will ache with the sadness we feel in her absence, but I can pretty much guarantee she would just want us to rejoice in what we currently have and not dwell on the "what-ifs". She would want us to enjoy each new day to the fullest, because that's how she was. We love you, Katie!
