Tom Rohrbeck
Kerry was my first and oldest friend after moved to Warren in 1961. We met in 2nd grade and remained friends all through school and the years since. I have too many memories of him to list them all but wanted to share a few. One in particular that he and I would reminisce about was riding our bikes from Warren out to Metro Beach in the summer when we were just 9 years old. We would head out early in the morning and return home around 8 pm. He would say "kids don't do that kind of thing anymore!" We would just watch boats coming in or heading out to the lake. In later years he did get a boat and we enjoyed many times on Lake St Clair.
Then as we got into Junior High School, we both got Mini Bikes. With our "wheels" we then were able to expand the range of our day trips. As we got into High School, Kerry always had the nicest car! I remember his 1970 Olds 442 that had to be the fastest call in Sterling HS. We stayed in touch over the years and I would always enjoy our talks every 6 months or so.
I will really miss him !
