LaCara Marie Hunt age 45 of Algonac, MI passed away unexpectedly March 25, 2026 in the McLaren Macomb Hospital. She was born January 1, 1981 in Detroit, MI. She married Robert John Hunt on July 14, 2012 in Clinton Twp., MI.
LaCara was a U.S, Navy Veteran. She was a long-time bus driver for the Algonac Schools System. She loved spending time with her family and feline companions
Mrs. Hunt is survived by her husband Rob, children Brandon Messina, Connor Hayes, and Blake Hunt, mother Betty Griggsby, mother and father-in-law Alleyn and Judy Hunt, sister Kelly (Ryan) leach, and sister-in-law Reanna (Ryan) McGlone. She was preceded in death by her father George Griggsby and a brother Clayton Griggsby.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Young Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Algonac.
