I would like to express my sincere condolences to you and your family. I did not know Mr. Rochon but I was a former student of Mrs. Rochon. You were always so kind and understanding. May your memories give you peace and comfort.

We met Louie and Angela in 1969 and they have been our dear friends for the last 57 years. During those years we have shared dinners, movie nights, vacations and the quiet times when we talked about our lives and our children’s lives and plans for the future.
Louie’s passing has been a tremendous loss for those of us who knew and loved him.
Louie was a kind and gentle soul who will never be forgotten.
Our memories of him will continue to brighten our lives.
Rest in Peace dear friend.

Mr Rochon was definitely one of the most unique and extraordinary people I've ever met. I HATED math in high school. It was my nemesis. He made it look so easy. I grew up down the street from him. My best friends parents were close to his and my best friend and I spent our senior spring break in NYC with Julie. Mr and Mrs Rochon always reminded me of a post card when they were walking, hand in hand, down the boardwalk. He was soft spoken and always seemed to have a smile on his face. Years after high school, I had to fine someone new to do my taxes. He was the one. He punched a few numbers and had it done in the blink of an eye. Our community is a little sadder without him. May he rest in peace. Love and prayers to his family and all who knew him.
He taught my boys who both continued thru college in Math classes. 1 is a computer engineer, the other holds a PhD in mathematics. After he retired, when I was riding my bike to work I would pass him walking to the gym in town. That was his warm-up and walking home afterward was his cool-down period.
Condolences to his wife Angela.
There are certain people in life that you meet by chance, and others who were always supposed to be there. Mr. and Mrs. Rochon were dear friends to my mom for my entire life. I can remember day trips with their family to the beach as kids, and days when Mr. and Mrs. Rochon would babysit me and my sister. As I got older, Mr. Rochon had the misfortune of having to teach me Trigonometry. I was completely out of my element and was floundering horribly. He was always encouraging and was willing to help me in any way he could. I’ll forever be grateful that my mom had such amazing friends and examples of kindness and goodness that I could learn from. My sincerest condolences to Mrs. Rochon, Jenny, Marc, and Julie and all of the Rochon family.
Such a sweet man, I met him at the Annual MEA-Retired meeting and sat with him and Angela. I remember how he looked out for Angela at the meeting and especially because I have a brother and my father named Louis. You will be missed by your MEA-Retired colleagues.
For Don and me, one of the great gifts of our lives has been Jen marrying Josh and the closeness we have shared with Angela and Lou and their beautiful family. From the first moment we met Angela and Lou more than a quarter century ago, we knew they were remarkable in their love, generosity, wisdom, joyfulness, devotion to family, integrity and so much else. What beautiful role models for all of us! We are beyond grateful for all our shared times - Christmases in Algonac, Seders in Wisconsin and Delaware, celebrations and special events in New York, vacations in Michigan at Porters Place and so many other memorable times together. Lou and Angela and their families have always welcomed us. Louis lived an incredible life and leaves an extraordinary legacy - both personal and professional. May his memory be a blessing.
All our Love, Don and Barbara Goldberg
