Marilyn Jean Colman's Obituary
Marilyn Jean Colman age 92, formerly of Clay Twp., MI. passed December 7, 2021 in the River Bend Assisted Living of East China, MI. She was born February 14, 1929 in Marine City, MI. to the late Edmund and Minnie (Dragmiller) Durow. She married Daniel F. Colman April 16, 1955 in Marine City, MI., he passed away June 22, 2016.
Mrs. Colman was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Algonac. She loved baking, swimming, and humming birds. She never turned down dessert or a piece (or four) of chocolate.
Mrs. Colman is survived by her daughter Lori (Cliff) Kroeter, sister-in-law Gladys Colman, a niece Kathy Benoit, who was like a sister to her, many other nieces and nephews, and dear friend Donna Nowland. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, and a brother and sister-in-law Edmund and Noreen Durow Jr.
The family would like to thank the friends and caregivers of Mallards Landing, River Bend Assisted Living and Grace Hospice for their kindness and compassion.
A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, with a memorial service at 3:00 PM, Monday May 2, 2022 at the Gilbert Funeral Home 1422 Michigan St. Algonac, MI. 48001. . Memorial donations may be made to the Blue Water Habitat for Humanity, 3524 Pine Grove Ave. Port Huron, MI. 48060, Algonac Clay Twp.
