Mary "Cecile" Fournier's Obituary
Mary “Cecile” Fournier, age 80, of Cottrellville Twp., passed away peacefully with family by her side on April 12, 2024 at the Blue Water Hospice Home, Marysville, MI. She was born on June 29, 1943 in Detroit to the late Cecil and Evelyn Jackson.
Cecile married Robert L. Fournier on June 19, 1971, who preceded her in death on May 13, 2022. Cecile was an avid card player, especially euchre. Along with cards, she often played bingo. She enjoyed her winters at their condo in Florida. During the summer she spent her time on their property on Buck Lake, Canada. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Stan) Reid; sister-in-law, Linda Kerbrat, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son, Michael Fournier; siblings, Evelyn Foxton and Richard Gibson.
Cremation arrangements have taken place with Young-Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Algonac, MI. Cecile will be laid to rest next to her parents in Ilfracomb Cemetery, Huntsville, Canada at a later date. To leave a message of comfort visit www.younggilbertfuneralhome.com
