Michelle Jan Cross' Obituary
Michelle Jan Cross age 77 of Clay Twp., MI went to be with the lord September 8, 2025 at home surrounded by her family. She was born March 9, 1948, in the family’s home on Columbia St. in Algonac, to the late Peter M. and Catherine (nee Weiden) Stokes. She married Bill A. Cross on July 29, 1966 in Rockville, MD.
Michelle loved beaches, waterfalls, and sunsets, as her internet nickname “Seechelle” attest to. She enjoyed traveling, hiking, long motorcycle rides with her husband to many different waterfalls and lighthouses throughout the state.
Mrs. Cross is survived by her husband Bill, children Christopher (Michelle) Cross and Matthew (Tommie Sepesi) Cross, grandchildren Nicole (Kris) Krenke, Natalie (Jesse) Rogers, and Jacob Cross, great grandchildren Addlyne Krenke, Ally Krenke, Blake Krenke, and Jessie Rogers, siblings David (Libby) Stokes, Tim (Yuki) Stokes, Richard Stokes, and Mary Suzan (Richard) Brackenbury. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Kayla Cross, brother Peter “Sonny” Stokes, and a brother and sister-in-law Bill and Dorothy Stokes.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, September 15, 2025 in the Young Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Algonac. Visitation 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Monday.
