Otis Lafon McBride Sr.'s Obituary
Otis Lafon McBride Sr. age 79 of Clay Twp., MI passed away peacefully October 13, 2022, in the St, Johns Hospital Detroit. He was born November 10, 1942, in Columbus, GA to the late Collis and Theople (Calhoun) McBride. He met Shirley Ann Hicks in 1962 and they married June 28, 1963.
Otis is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Shirley Ann., children Sheila (John) Witherspoon, Otis (Heath) McBride Jr., Patricia (Dan) Jeakle-Havey, and Lorrie McBride, grandchildren Marianne (Adam) Karos, Carolyn Witherspoon, Adrienne (Garrett) Witherspoon, Matthew (Katie) Witherspoon, Lucy Witherspoon, Dannielle (Lance) McBride, Madison (Josh) Feltenbarger, Tyler (Alexis) Miller, Gage (Nichole) Miller, Ashlyn (Evan) Heagle and his great grandchildren Rieley Karos, Trevor Karos, Parker Karos, Jackson Karos, Avery Karos, Christopher Adomowiscz, Chloe Welchko, Aria Shaheen. Elliana Saylor, Ash Feltenbarger, Jesse Feltenbarger, Vinny Craven, Brycen Miller, Brinley Miller, Braxton Miller, and Luke Miller, brothers Robert (Judy) McBride and Ronnie (Deborah) McBride, and several nieces and nephews who he held dear to his heart. He was preceded in death by siblings Wendy Snellgrove, Donna Baggett, Gloria Plaugher, and Gaylan McBride.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday October 18, 2022, in the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, MI. Visitation 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Tuesday. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Algonac.
