Otto Frederick Maedel's Obituary
Otto F. Maedel age 80 of Algonac, MI. passed away February 4, 2022 in the Advantage Living Center Armada. He was born September 27, 1941 in Richmond, MI. to the late Hilbert and Mabel (Thiedeman) Maedel. He married Carol Ann Genaw on June 24, 1961 in Richmond.
Mr. Maedel is survived by his wife Carol, children Charles Maedel and Tracy Smith, grandchildren William Maedel, Ashley Smith, Tosha Sabbaugh, and Brian Maedel, great grandchildren Ashton Hightower, James Hightower, Jayden Sabbaugh, Jenson Sabbaugh, Alana Sabbaugh, and Lotus Maedel, a sister Irene Gemomphrey, a sister-in-law Alberta Newby, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by brothers Hilbert Maedel Jr., Edward Maedel, and Robert Maedel.
Funeral services 12:00 Noon Tuesday February 8, 2022 in the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Richmond. Visitation 11:00 AM Tuesday until time of services at the church. Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery, Cottrellville Twp., MI. Arrangements by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac.
