Perry Allen Burgess' Obituary
Perry Allen Burgess, age 66, of Clay Twp., passed away in the comfort of his home on May 25, 2026. He was born in Detroit on February 27, 1960 to the late Wallace and Lillian Burgess. Perry honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1978-1981. He worked as a parcel delivery driver for UPS for 17 years. In his spare time, Perry found peace on the water, spending countless hours boating and fishing. However, above all, Perry cherished the time he spent with his family.
He is survived by his children, Tanya Evans, Blake Burgess; grandchildren, Hailey, Kaden, and Tayton; sister Patricia Upton; nephew, Robert Upton, who was a constant caregiver for Perry; close friend, Janet Ashcroft, as well as many special nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his sister Karen S. Funk; brothers, Mark S. Burgess and Wallace M. Burgess.
