Robert William Springer's Obituary
Robert William Springer age 73 of Algonac, MI passed away December 11, 2023 in the McLaren Port Huron Hospital. He was born July 10, 1950 in Norfolk, VA to the late Robert J. and Betty M. (Lyman) Springer. He married Katherine L. Crabtree on September 4, 1994 in Las Vegas, NV.
Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved caring for and restoring old cars.
Mr. Springer is survived by his wife Katherine “Kathy”, children Timothy (Ann) Gruter, Annie (Matt Kellerman) Wiltsie, and Will (Lisa) Zakas, grandchildren Lilly Gruter, Trevor Wiltse, Brooke Wiltsie, Addison Kellerman, Piper Kellerman, Gabby Zakas, and twins Jacob Zakas and Olivia Zakas, siblings Chuck (Jessica) Tipper, Penny Marsack, Tim (Sharon) Springer, Scott Springer, and Mark Springer. He was preceded in death by his son; Robert W. Springer in 1976 and siblings Patty Springer and Vickie Tipper.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Young Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. Algonac, MI.
