Going to Grandpa’s house was one of the highlights of my childhood.
He was always so welcoming to the whole family, always insisting on making those giant Costco hot dogs that felt impossible to finish—even as an adult. His yard, filled with trees we planted back in elementary school, became our playground. We’d run wild, laughing and playing, with Grandpa and my mom always watching from the deck while they got to talk.

I feel incredibly lucky to have grown up with those memories—and even luckier that I got the opportunity to watch my own son play in that same yard with his cousins while I sat on the porch beside my mom and Grandpa.

Beautiful summer days, hot dogs, and big smooches will always remind me of him. A legacy of love, laughter, and home
