Royden T. Gilbert's Obituary
Royden T. Gilbert age 83 of China Twp., MI died August 27, 2019 in his home. He was born October 17, 1935 in Marine City, MI. to the late George and Esther (nee Bassett) Gilbert. He married Helen Joy Endres on November 12, 1983 in Marine City.
Royden graduated from Marine City High School in 1953. He retired from the Operating Engineers Local 324. He then went into real estate, opening his own agency "Gilbert Real Estate" in Marine City. He was a member of Marine City Jaycees and the Southeastern Conservation Club.
Mr. Gilbert is survived by his wife Helen Joy, children Brenda (Donald) DeRue, Suzanne (Michael) Warchol, Sherlyn Gostiaux, and Amy (Scott) Brittich, step-children Kim (Gary) Steinmetz, Dennis (Jenny) Itrich, David (Annie) Itrich, Michael (Dawn) Itrich, Richard (Tracy) Itrich, and Steven (Colleen) Itrich, siblings Jay (Sandra) Gilbert and Lorne (Donna) Gilbert, and several grand and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Kevin Gilbert and a brother Carl Gilbert.
Visitation 1:00 to 6:00 PM Thursday August 29, 2019 in the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, MI. with the Funeral Services at 1:30 PM.
