Sally Jean Gennette's Obituary
Sally Jean Gennette, age 83, of Clay Twp., formerly of St. Clair Shores, passed away October 11, 2025. She was born in Detroit on December 17, 1941 to the late Amos and Julia Weber.
She married Jerome Gennette on January 30, 1960 in Detroit. He preceded her in death on October 26, 2014.
Sally worked as a bank teller for many years before retirement. She was an avid Red Wings fan, she enjoyed doing ceramics and giving her pieces of art as gifts to family and friends. Most of all she cherished her time spent with her children and grandchildren.
She was a very religious woman and was a longtime member of St. Margaret Catholic Church, St. Clair Shores and then St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Algonac.
She is survived by her children; Sherri (Joseph) Caiozzo, Donna (Don) Krawczak and Kenneth Gennette.
She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, her brother; Dale Weber, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister; Rosemary Weber and brothers; Carl and Edward Weber.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 18 at Our Lady on the River Parish, St. Catherine Catholic Church, Algonac. Visiting will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to mass. Interment will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery, Algonac.
