Stephen Frank Heyza Sr.'s Obituary
Stephen Frank Heyza, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on February 19th, 2024, at the age of 67.
Stephen was born on February 18th, 1957, in Mount Clemens, Michigan, to the late Leonard and Marie Heyza. He graduated from Algonac High School. He then went to trade school and mastered Tool and Die. Stephen was also an expert mechanic who enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles. Those who knew him considered him a jack of all trades because there truly wasn't much he could not do. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and camping; he also enjoyed keeping his hands busy, watching old TV shows, going for long car rides, and spending time with his family and friends.
He was blessed with four children, who are all the best parts of him. They are so blessed to have inherited his strength, humor, and dedication to hard work. They will continue to cherish him deeply. He was always willing to do what he could for others and lend a helping hand to those in need.
Stephen was one of a kind, with a heart of gold, and will truly be missed and loved by everyone who knew him. Even though he may no longer be here with us, many hearts are aching at such a tremendous loss. I hope everyone can find comfort in knowing he will never truly be gone, and as we go through our journey through life, he will forever be with us, watching and giving us the strength to heal and continue on.
Stephen is survived by his children Stephen Heyza Jr. (Brigitte), Lisa (Anthony) Burleigh, Melissa (Jimmy) Heyza, Joseph (Hope) Heyza, a lifelong friend and mother to their children Lynn (Heyza) Williams, 15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, Sisters Catherine Wilkins, Darleen Gatto, Brothers Richard Heyza, Buddy Heyza, and Nathan Heyza. Stephen is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Marie Heyza, brother Daune Heyza, and son-in-law, Anthony Burleigh.
