Valeria Mary Chapman's Obituary
Valeria Mary Chapman age 91 of Clay Twp., MI passed away peacefully, after a very full life, in the Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. She was born March 15, 1933 in Detroit, MI to the late Casmere and Antonia (nee Garowich) Pochowich. She married Raymond H. Chapman Sr. on January 13, 1953 in Detroit. He passed away March 6, 2017.
Mrs. Chapman was an avid bowler and card player. She was a former 4 H leader and a long-time member of Our Lady on the River Parish St. Catherines Catholic Church of Algonac.
Mrs. Chapman is survived by her children Deborah (TA) Stringer, Jacqueline (Gary) MacDonald, Raymond (Cathy) Chapman Jr., Richard Chapman, Dawn (Larry) Dailey, and Ronald (Shelly) Chapman, grandchildren Thomas (Cassie) Stringer, Dan (Krystal) Stringer, Nicole (Frank Waterman) MacDonald, Vanessa (Michael) Piotrowski, Kellie (Matthew) Wezner, Jessica (Randy) Poulsen, Jennifer Chapman, Jamie (Karsynn) Rivers, Amanda Chapman, Rosalie (Corey) Stringer, Anna (Billy) Zaremba, Channing (Emily) Stringer, Brittany (Jonathan) Brett, Katelyn (Jacob) Davidson, Bryant Wright, Brandee (Will) Wright, and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by siblings Edward Pochowich, Joan (Vern) Davis, Helen (Joe) Sabatini, Mary (Gerald) Newton, Stella (Clark) Russell, and Ann Bedsworth.
A celebration of life will be held from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM, with a memorial service at 11:00 AM Thursday August 15, 2024 in the Algonac Church of Christ, 1601 St. Clair River Dr. Algonac, MI.
