William Dean Cartwright's Obituary
William Dean Cartwright age 92 of Algonac, MI. passed away June 18, 2021 at the Ascension St. Johns River District Hospital. He was born January 13, 1929 in Detroit, MI. to the late Albert and Elizabeth (nee Phillips) Cartwright. He married Charlene Chaltron on October 30, 1988 in Algonac.
Mr. Cartwright retired from the U. S. Air Force in 1968 and was a member of Algonac V.F.W. Post #3901.
Mr. Cartwright is survived by his wife Charlene, children William David Cartwright, Joseph K. (Denise) Cartwright, Toni Edge, and Susan (Christian) Salah, a brother Richard Cartwright, 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by children John Cartwright, James Cartwright, Shelly Cartwright-Johnson, and Paula Cartwright-Sollitto.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, with Military Honors Service at 2:00 PM, Friday June 25, 2021 at the Algonac V.F.W. Post 1005 Pte. Tremble Rd. Algonac, MI. 48001. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Family Wishes. Arrangements by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac.
