I only knew Jerry as the grandparent of 2 boys who were in the Christmas plays and I heard him play the trumpet in a few church services and sing in the church choir. I learned more in talking to him and a mutual friends funeral... about his days playing in the Salvation Army Band and his dad playing an instrument also. I admired his dedication and his full head of hair (lol).
